SuperintendentSuperintendent Mr. Michael Mansfield

As we move into February, we begin the second half of the 2017-18 school year. While there is much left to accomplish this school year, we need to turn our thoughts to 2018-19 as we plan for next year's school budget. We look forward to presenting our community with a budget which continues to provide our students with a rigorous, relevant and well-rounded program in a manner which is fiscally responsible to our community. To hear presentations and participate in discussion of our 2018-2019 budget, we encourage district residents to attend the Board of Education meetings on February 12, March 5 and April 16, as well as, the Budget Hearing on May 3.

We are in the final stages of our capital project and our students now enjoy many of the new and renovated areas in the Maple Grove Middle/High School building. Our January 29 the Board of Education hosted a community open house at Maple Grove Middle/High School for community members to tour the new and renovated areas. At the conclusion of the Open House, Dr. Bill Daggett, a world renown speaker, hosted a presentation for parents and students outlining the critical skills and non-cognitive skills which are critical for the future success of our students. Dr. Daggett provided an entertaining and informative session for those in attendance.

While we can be pleased that we are working toward becoming the future focused school that our students require, we also realize that there is still much work to be done. We also recognize that with our rapidly changing world we will be called on to continuously evaluate and adapt our student programs. We greatly appreciate the continued support of our community as we strive to help ALL students thrive and build a foundation for future success.
