P-EBT Funds are coming for the 2020-2021 School Year!

Currently, all school meals are FREE to all students but school meals applications are still important — they can help you get P-EBT benefits to purchase food for your family if your child qualifies for free/reduced-price school meals. Plus, our school gets much needed funding too.

P-EBT does not take the place of school meals or other federal nutrition programs, including SNAP, WIC, summer meals, or meals in child care and afterschool programs.

Immigration status does not matter for P-EBT. Receiving or using P-EBT does not affect immigration status. The public charge test does not apply to P-EBT.

There is no application for P-EBT.  Children who are certified for free or reduced-price meals will receive benefits automatically. This includes all students learning remotely.  Fill out and turn in a school meal application today, click here: 2020-2021 Application for Free and Reduced Price School Meals

Cafeteria Changes for the 2020-2021 School Year:

All meals, regardless of income, are free to students until June 30, 2021.

Effective January 4, 2021, meals available to students on remote learning days must be picked up by a parent / guardian behind the Maple Grove Middle / High School on Monday’s between 12:30 PM and 3:30 PM.  Please fill out the Bemus Point Food Services Request survey available on our website to sign up for meals or contact Holly Griffith at hgriffith@bemusptcsd.org.  Meals will be available on Mondays for the remainder of the school year through June 2021.

The cafeteria will be a cashless system.  Payments on student accounts should be made via myschoolbucks.com or check.  If cash is presented to the cashier, no change will be given.  It will be placed on the students account.

Microwaves for student use in the cafeteria will no longer be allowed.

We understand that due to the COVID-19 pandemic, family income situations may have changed.  We are encouraging all families to fill out the 2020-2021 Application for Free and Reduced Price School Meals and return it to the Administration Office, PO Box 468, Bemus Point, NY 14712.

If your family is eligible for free or reduced school meals, the status will carry 30 school days into the 2021-2022 school year.  By filling out this application, it may also assist us in receiving additional State Aid.

School Meals are currently available to any families that need them.  Please email Holly Griffith at hgriffith@bemusptcsd.org if you need to be added to the list.

Stay safe!
